Bodega Aniello, Argentina
Aniello’s invigorating wines epitomize Argentina’s cool climate Patagonia region, an area marked by jagged mountains, plateaus, snow, rivers, plains and sea.
Aniello was founded in 2010 by winemaker Santiago Bernasconi. Since then he has worked tirelessly to craft unique wines that channel Patagonia’s unique characteristics while holding on to his family’s Italian roots.
Aniello is one of the few wineries in South America to craft both a white wine made from Pinot Noir grapes as well as a Trousseau, a light-bodied red originating in France’s Jura region. (Aniello’s Trousseau vineyard was planted in 1932.)
Their Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Malbec wines tend to be more elegant and refined than their counterparts in the warmer Mendoza area.
