97-point winemaker Jean-Pascal Lacaze makes Peñalolén from the younger vines on the prestigious Viña Quebrada de Macul property, reserving the old-vine fruit for Domus Aurea.
Peñalolén was created by Viña Quebrada de Macul owners Ricardo Peña and his wife, Isabel. This Cabernet Sauvignon-based wine is uniquely Chilean, boasting an enticing mix of herbal, eucalyptus and blackcurrant flavors. Medium-bodied, the wine channels the cool mountain woodland feel of the Andes.
